Performance
The AQUA-BIOMANT combines a biological step with an electrochemical treatment.
The waste water is first put in the biofilter to eliminate suspended solids and the biodegradable BOD by specialised aerobic bacteria’s and micro organisms. At the outlet of the biofilter the pollution of the waste water still consists of the non biodegradable COD and the colour. To remove this compounds the waste water is recycled through an electrochemical cell. With low energy input the cell produces high active OH radicals. This radicals transfer the non biodegradable COD in biodegradable BOD. In the same time the radicals remove the colour and the waste water will be sterilized.
After electrochemical treatment the waste water is reinserted in the biofilter where the elimination of BOD takes place.
As a result of the treatment the waste water outlet has very low COD concentrations and is discoloured. In the same time the water is sterilized and can be recycled in the industrial process.
For the treatment no chemicals are used.
